Direct Services

Direct Services

In 2008, the Foundation experienced a significant decrease in its endowment as have many other foundations.  The amount we granted in 2009, therefore, was close to 40% lower than the amount we have granted in recent years.

In 2010, we will not be able to fund all the organizations we have traditionally supported, nor will we grant to organizations we have not funded in the past.  As equity markets recover and the Foundation's endowment grows, we plan to increase our granting proportionately.

The Brett Family Foundation remains committed to continuing our support of the important work our grantees do to make our state a more just and caring place to live.

We support Boulder County nonprofits that provide direct services and support for underserved and frequently marginalized populations with an emphasis on programs for disadvantaged and high-risk youth ages 12 through 18 and their families.

The Brett Family Foundation is engaged in an ongoing focusing process to determine the most significant impact of its direct service giving and priority areas. For more information, feel free to give us a call at 303-442-1200.
